Consider the school proposal
To the editor:
I was pleased to learn about the school boardís unanimous support for asking residents to approve an operating levy. I believe the board made the right decision in allowing the community to consider this proposal to provide additional funds for our district.
I believe the board has carefully considered this issue and weighed all the options. Based on what I have learned, the board and administration have done a good job of managing the districtís funds in these difficult economic times. After making budget cuts last year, itís now time to bring more revenue into the district.
As residents of the district, it is our responsibility to learn more about the referendum proposal and how it will help our district and community. I encourage everyone to read the information that is provided by the district and ask questions to learn more about the proposed operating levy. The district has given us the opportunity to invest in our kids and we must seriously consider the proposal.Ý
