Neil worked as a telephone technician for 30 years and was a bus driver for the North Branch School District. He loved the young people on his bus. They called him ìCaptain Neil.î
Neil loved his family, fishing, working in the yard, the boundary waters, and cooking. His children were his treasured gifts from God; and that love spilled over to many children and young people in his family and community.
He could fix and repair anything and loved sharing that gift with others. He was a faithful blood donor. He loved the Lord and served him quietly, faithfully and consistently.
Neil is survived by wife Harlyn Bauernfeind, daughter Amy, son Adam, brothers David and Anne Bauernfeind, Carl and Chris Bauernfeind, sisters Louise and Dicke Aunne, Marie Bauernfeind, Ruth and Bob Paul and his wonderful extended family.
