Thanks from Parmly and Elim

To the editor:
The North Branch community is the best. Thank you from the Friends of Parmly and Elim Lutheran Church for the wonderful community support for Parmlyís 15th Annual Spaghetti Supper at the Elim Lutheran Church Social Hall on Oct. 2. Proceeds are designated for the 2004 Centennial Celebration at Parmly. Matching funds were received by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Special thanks to the wonderful volunteers, many from Elim Lutheran Church and the Friends of Parmly, who set tables with placemats, cups and glasses, wrapped silverware, buttered bread, served the spaghetti, poured coffee, helped clean up and kept the ticket sales going for the Scandinavian Auction. Volunteers included students from the National Honor Society who were once again available. Many thanks to Lindstrom Foods and Brinks Market for providing our spaghetti, to Peterson Potato for the lettuce, to Cub Foods for the French bread and to all the individuals who donated the delicious bars. Thanks to those who sold tickets including Security State Bank of Marine, Scandia and Lindstrom, Mainstreet Bank, Center City, RiverBank-MN, Chisago City, Wally Carlson and Sons, Lindstrom, area churches and individual members of the Friends of Parmly.
The Scandinavian Auction was fun and a huge success. Special thanks to all individuals who took the time to make their donated items and for the businesses who graciously contributed to the auction, including Wally Carlson and Sons, Chisago Drug, Scandia Old Towne Liquor, Scandia Hair Design, Scandia Feed and Pet, Art of Friendship Gallery, Lindstrom Hardware, Woodís Furniture & Design, Gordyís Cards and Gifts, Time Gift, Barb Korsgren, Harris Sonneberg, Marguerite Malcomson, Roger Carter, Enchanted Gates Floral, Scandia Cafe, Marlene Anderson, Shirley Alm, Thelma Hintz, Crabtree Country Store, Many Voices, Eichtenís Specialty Shop, Crabtree Garden Gate and Frankies Live Bait and Marine, Abrahamson Nurseries, Scandia Chiropractic Clinic, Mainstreet Bank, Chisago Lakes Chiropractic and RiverBank-MN.
Parmly Senior Housing and Services truly appreciates the efforts of all who made this event happen. We will see you next year for the 16th Annual Spaghetti Supper.
