Bloodmobile volunteers thanked

To the editor:
Did you know the American Red Cross collects 50 percent of the nationís blood supply? Collected blood is used by one patient every two seconds in the United States. Trinity Lutheran Church hosted the North Branch annual fall Bloodmobile on Sept. 16.
Greeters were Harold and Verna Hoppe and Pat Johnson. Servers were Patti Blagen and Joy Peno. Coordinator was Joy Peno.
The American Legion donated money to help pay for supplies. We had one first-time donor: Melissa Stramer, 2 gallon pins were awarded to Jeanette Benson and Richard McCargar, a 4 gallon pin was awarded to Mary Schauer and a 5 gallon pin to James H. Smith.
Thank you to each and every one who helped make this a success. The 80 donors were as follows: Mary Anderson, Neil Bauernfeind, Lori Blomquist, Douglas Bloom, Donald Cardinal, Renee Desteno, Susan Engstran, Gerald Fairbanks, Laura Geisen, Joanne M.
