NB girls tennis falls 7-0 to White Bear
The North Branch girls tennis squad faced some tough competition in the White Bear Lake team Monday, Sept. 8, coming away on the losing end of a 7-0 match. Suffering losses at singles were Shannon OíHern, Maren Anderson, Kelsey OíHern and Danielle Sonnenfeld. Sonnenfeldís match went into a super tie breaker in the third set before she lost in a 5-10 decision. The doubles players were also shutout: Chantell Sampson and Relicia Dehart at No. 1, Katie Satterlund and Rachel Rodrigue at No. 2 and Amber Heilig and Jessica Johnston at No. 3. Head Coach Kristin Unverzagt said the absence of Brooke Chambers and Nicole Granberg from the lineup was noticeable, and she hopes to get them back in the lineup soon. ìDanielle and Maren had very close matches and battled back,î she said. The team faced Chisago Lakes Tuesday and takes on Foley and Cambridge-Isanti this week.
