Tack s mycket (thanks) on meatball dinner

To the editor:
On behalf of the Shafer Heritage Dagen 150th Anniversary Committee, I would like to thank everyone who attended the Swedish Meatball Dinner fund-raiser on Friday, Sept. 19 at the Shafer Township Hall. We had a great turnout. Proceeds of the fund-raiser will help fund the 150th anniversary celebration Oct. 3-5.
Such an effort is successful because of the teamwork involved. Special ìtack s mycketî to: Shafer Township board for the use of the new township hall; Adventures Restaurant in Osceola for providing the meat, cabbage, serving pieces and the use of their kitchen for preparation of the food; Pleasant Valley Orchard for the apples; Brinkís Market for the discounted bread and grocery items; monetary donations from several individuals which helped to purchase the groceries; the volunteers who helped throughout the day and evening and of course, the Shafer Heritage Dagen 150th Anniversary Committee: Kim Glenna, Patty Mattson, Daryl Wangen, Bill Scott, Earle and Freya Kask, Sherry Bakken, John Jackson, Diane Whiting, Jane Videen, Judy Erickson and Rollie Westman. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.
