Leonard Mains, 85, of Milaca passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004.
Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Onamia. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Onamia.
Leonard Mains was born on April 17, 1919 in Isle to the late Peter and Margaret (Schnore) Mains. Leonard attended school in District 40.
He was united in marriage to Betty Mae Buisman on Nov. 20, 1948 in Hayland Township. The couple lived in Circle Pines. In 1969 they moved to Rush City. They moved to southern Mille Lacs County in 2001.
Leonard Carl Mains is survived by his sons, Steven Mains of Milaca, and Joseph Mains of Green Bay, Wisc.; daughters, Margo Tyson and husband, Bill of Anoka, Jean Runge and husband, Donald of Sherburn; brothers, Sonny and Peter Mains, Richard Mains and wife, Jan; sisters, Ella Baumgartner and husband, Melvin, Helen Hanson, Marion Brishane, Lynda and Daniel Vanrisingham, Betty Kram and husband, Edward, Annie Gave and husband, Walter; 12 grandchildren, Todd, Ty, Kate, Phillip, Jamey, Dennis, Tracey, Amy, Matt, Patt, Kody, Callie, Vanessa, Anissa; 14 great-grandchildren.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Margaret (Schnore) Mains; brothers, Harry, and Clarence.
