Zinpro Corp. recently completed a major expansion of its manufacturing plant at North Branch.
The key element in the expansion was the addition of a second 4,000-gallon liquid reactor system.
This addition, which matches the amino acid extraction capacity to the plantís drying systems, essentially double the production capacity at the North Branch facility.
Other elements in the expansion include an additional heat exchange system, emission control system and computerized batching system.
Zinpro purchased the North Branch facility late in 1999 and began production in 2000 after a major renovation of the plant. Zinproís first manufacturing facility, at Garner, Iowa, began production in 1993.
