Eugene (Gene) W. Seiberlich, age 77 of Taylors Falls, Minn., passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2004.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom from 6 until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taylors Falls at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, with burial following the service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Gene was born on Sept. 30, 1926 in St. Paul, Minn. He served in the U.S. Navy - ìSea Beasî for four years and married high school sweetheart, Rosemary Haider, shortly after his discharge on May 11, 1948.
Gene worked for BNSF Railway (formerly Great Northern) for 31 years.
Gene and Rosemary raised eight children. They lived in Mounds View until 1991 when they moved to Rush Lake where he was a member of the VFW Post 6692. They moved to Taylors Falls in 2002.
Gene enjoyed camping, fishing, blue grass music and the time he spent with his family. We love you Dad and we miss you every day that you are away from us.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Elizabeth Seiberlich and sister Geraldine Bailey.
Gene is survived by his wife of 56 years and all eight children: Jim (Jill) of Andover, Gene (Donna) of East Bethel, Ken (Robyn) of Rush City, Bill (Cathy) of Taylors Falls, Kathy (Jim) Seiberlich of St. Paul, Peggy (Ron) Boettcher of Eden Prairie, John (Mariola) of Blaine and Rose (Terry) Bridges of Elk River; 14 grandchildren, 1 1/2 great-grandchildren, brother Don (Dorothy), sisters: Harriet Jansen and Betty (Hank) Ohmann.
Arrangement were by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
