There seems to be many people in this area that are concerned about the economic recovery but they do not realize when the current economic recession began and why it has taken so long for the economy to recover. The recession began in the spring of 2000 and was exacerbated by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.ÝAs anyone who understands the basics of economics knows, changes such as increases or decreases in taxes can take years to affect the economy of a country such as the United States.ÝOne of the main reasons the current recession started was the massive tax increases in the 1990s implemented under the Clinton economic plan.Ý

Following the worst disaster that this country has seen since the bombing of Pearl Harbor, an aggressive economic plan was needed to prevent a depression from decimating our economy.Ý President Bush stepped up to the plate and implemented an economic plan that included tax cuts for the vast majority of American families.ÝThe families in this area have seen at least one of the direct results of this plan.ÝOne of the changes was the increase in the child tax credit from $600 per child to $1,000 per child.ÝIn order to stimulate the economy more quickly, the president advanced part of the child tax credit last year to get more money back into the hands of the people and to encourage them to spend the money (personal spending is a great way to stimulate the economy).ÝWe have been seeing the effects of the Bush economic plan for the past several months as the economy has shown an upward trend.ÝNew jobs have been created and more new jobs will be created as the economy continues to grow.Ý

All we need to do is stay the course and the Bush economic plan will put the economy back on track.ÝWe are on the right economic course.
