The North Branch track teams swept first place at the Pine City Triangular April 15. The boys earned first with 95 points and the girls took first with 87 points ahead of both Pine City and Mora.
For the girls, junior Jenny Anderson took first in the 100m hurdles in 17:74 and first in the 300m hurdles in 51:04. She also took second in the high jump, clearing 4í8î.
Sophomore Jill Vanden Heuvel was first in the 100m dash in 14:14 and eighth grader Tiffany Peterson was first in the 3200m run in 13:56.34.
Senior Kelli Carlson was first in the shot put at 31í4î. The 1600m relay team of freshmen Ashley Steele, Kelsey OíHern and Tess Prouty-Kunshier and eighth grader Cori Fairbanks was first in 4:31.84. Trissica Bye was first in the pole vault, clearing 8í4î.
Eighth grader Alyssa Houle was second in the long jump with a jump of 14í. Senior Rachel Brown was second in the triple jump with a jump of 28í11î.
For the boys, junior Joe Lofboom was first in the 800m run at 2:10.24 and first in the pole vault, clearing 10í6î. Freshman Nick Ramberg was first in the 3200m run at 10:30.34.
Junior Bill Oehlers took first in the shot put at 45í1î. Junior Al Moore was first in the high jump, clearing 5í10î and first in the triple jump with a jump of 38í2î.
The 800m relay team of seniors Bo McClaskie, Gavin Hall, DJ Paulson and freshman Brian Moore took first at 1:41.84. The 400m relay team of Paulson, Hall and sophomores Mike Carlson and Matt Carlson took first at 47:84.
Junior Zack Backus was second in discus with a throw of 129í1î. Freshman Brian Moore was second in the long jump with a jump of 18í5î.
McClaskie was second in the pole vault, clearing 10í6î. Senior Sam Suparat was second in the 800m run at 2:11.74.
This week, the teams were at St. Michael-Albertville Tuesday and compete at Cambridge Friday, April 23 and Chisago Lakes Tuesday, April 27.
