Nova Schuler, an instructor at North Branch Academy of Tai Kwon Do, competed at the A.A.U. National Championship July 6-10 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She received a third-place bronze medal which earned her an invitation to the United States National Tae Kwon Do Training Team Championship.

The National Training Team Championship will take place in September in Texas.

If Schuler places at the top of her division at the Texas event, she will be placed on the United States Tai Kwon Do Traveling Team.

Schuler is a 3rd-degree black belt in traditional Tai Kwon Do. She has been training since 1995 with Master Gibson from Forest Lake.
Schuler continues to study and train with her students at the North Branch academy.

Classes include Lilí Ninjas for students aged four to six, traditional Tai Kwon Do for students between with ages of six and 60; and cardio-kickboxing for people aged 12 and older.
