RC Music Festival coming Aug. 21-22

The city of Rush City will host its second Music Festival Aug. 21-22 in the city park. There will be music - lots of music - arts and crafts, food and fun for the entire family.
Music will be provided by ìDie Wolpertingerî at 11 a.m. Saturday and the ìKnights of Rock and Rollî at 7 p.m. that night. In between, there will be a variety of local talent including the Lofgren Band, Neighborz, the Lake Area Cloggers and Ed Pangerl.
Sunday activities will begin with an ecumenical church service at 10 a.m. in the city park. This will include a community choir under the direction of Muriel Bungert and accompanied by First Lutheran Churchís Pastor Laurie OíShea. Also on Sunday, Rush Cityís native sons - the Ericksons, Robinsons, Lindstroms and Meissners will perform.
Plus, the Heart and Soul praise band and the Olson sisters will perform on Sunday.
For the children, there will be a performance by the Nienow sisters at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and a presentation by Lisa Erickson at 10:15 a.m. There will be an air jumper, sawdust pile and childrenís games throughout Saturday morning.
Arts and craft vendors will be set up Saturday and food will be sold both days.
On Saturday at 5 p.m. there will be a Lions Pork in the Park supper for $5, and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon, at the Masonic Hall, there will be a pancake breakfast, $4.50 in advance or $5 at the door. Tickets are available from any Mason, at the Rush City Chamber office or Bohaty Hardware. The Rush City area churches will serve a pie and ice cream social Sunday 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
