To the editor:
As I read throughÝìThe Democratic Platform for America: Strong at Home, Respected in the Worldî I have to wonder if the Democratic National Committee selected the wrong candidate in Sen. Kerry. Under the platformís heading of ìDEFEATING TERRORISMî are these two quotes, ìWith John Kerry as Commander-in-Chief, we will never wait for a green light from abroad when our safety is at stake,î and ìWe must also improve our intelligence here at home.î But Sen. Kerryís own words are not in agreement. In an interview with Harvardís Crimson he stated that he would ìalmost eliminate CIA activity and have U.S. troops dispersed throughout the world only at the directive of the United Nations.î
Will we really be fighting terrorism if John Kerry is elected president?
