The club was celebrating 10 years since the start of the East Central Minnesota Chapter #684. The club welcomes Vietnam-era veterans and their families as well as veterans of the Gulf War, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom to become members or auxiliary members. The club meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at the Howard McCarty American Legion Post 290 in Cambridge.
The organization aims to raise awareness of the repercussions of combat on soldiers and their families. It also performs a lot of community service, including providing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals delivered to needy veterans and their families. The organization also aims to be a resource for veterans so they can get information on navigating the Veteranís Administration.
