Curtis Herbert Strong was born on September 12, 1943, left this lifeís joys and sorrows at the age of 60 to rest at last in a place of peace and glory on Sunday, August 15, 2004.
Curtis is survived by his cherished daughters and son Rochelle Wisdorf, Renee Strong-Lind and Gregory Strong. three sisters JoAnn Scott, Ione Jacobson and Bonnie Matz; two brothers Gary and Ernest; his legacy of love lives on through his grandchildren Blake, Alexandra, Ashton, Kristen, Joshua, Aundrea, Colin and Liviya; son-in-law Steven Wisdorf and daughter-in-law Donna Strong; other surviving family members too numerous to name, but not forgotten are nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-laws.
Every person who had the privilege to meet and know Curt instantly found in him a friend with a heart of generosity, love an humor that touched untold numbers of lives. Curt lived and practiced the precepts of these qualities; all who met and knew him will always have wonderful memories and stories about a man who shared his life for his family, friends, carpentry skills, football games, but most especially his love of fishing and hunting. His faith and unwavering enthusiasm for living taught others how to live and laugh. His endurance and courage through the last days of his precious life were a testament to all that he cherished and believed in.
Curtis will always be missed, but never forgotten.
Visitation was held on Tuesday Aug. 17 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch and one hour before services at the church. Celebrating remembrance of his time shared here with us and his new home in Godís Kingdom with past family and friends will be Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at North Branch United Methodist Church.
