The North Branch Area Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank everyone who participated in the 5th Annual Golf Classic held at North Branch Golf Course on August 12. We hold this event to support activities and programs of the chamber that serve as resources for community and local businesses. Representatives of 73 local businesses took part in this activity.

We offer special appreciation to our sponsors. The hole-in-one sponsors were Anderson & Koch Ford and John Hirschís Cambridge Motors. Unfortunately, no one won a car, but we have hopes for next year. The hole sponsors were Fernwood Developers, First National Bank, Grand Casino Hinckley, NorthStar Access and Ruddyís Rental. Community National Bank was an Eagle sponsor. Birdie sponsors were AFLAC, Allina Medical Clinic North Branch, AmericInn Lodge & Suites, Aquila, Edward Jones, Fairview Lakes North Branch Clinic, Happy Wheels Car Wash, Investment Centers of America, Lake State Federal Credit Union, Nelsonís Market, Olson Power & Equipment, Pizza Pub, S & C Bank, and the Star. There were several games and activities through the course to entertain the golfers. The game and activity hosts were AFLAC, Edina Realty; Dan Peterson, ERA Muske Co., Happy Wheels Car Wash, Landmark Personnel, Inc., Northern Tropics Pool & Spa, NorthStar Access, PGP Computer Solutions, Prudential Financial, Rotary Club of North Branch, the Star newspaper and Wurdemann Chiropractic. Thank you to Sen. Sean Nienow; George Beck, Star; Bridgitte Konrad, city of North Branch; Vicki Lesmann, Quad V Coaching; Jack Juve, AmericInn Lodge & Suites; Carrie Jorgenson, North Branch Dairy Queen; Bill Rice and Twyla and Ardell Ring for helping with activities hosted by the chamber.

The chamber greatly appreciates the efforts of North Branch Golf Course, Falcon Ridge Golf Course, Olson Power & Equipment, particularly Tyler Olson and Jeff Lindo of Lindo Farms, for they went to extraordinary levels to help us.

Over one hundred golfers participated in this Golf Classic. There where numerous games and activities on the course making this friendly sports competition, fun and interesting at every hole. Thank you to everyone who provided door prizes and ìtreasurersî for all the golfers. Congratulation to Provide Care for winning the championship for the second time in two years and taking home the traveling trophy.Ý
