Olive M. Lofboom, age 89 of North Branch died on July 27, 2004 at her home.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 2, at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Stark with Rev. Dale Stiles officiating. Interment was in the Fish Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
Olive was born on Jan. 26, 1915, in Stacy to Dell C. and Matilda (Frenning) Lent.
She attended Forest Lake High School and graduated in the class of 1932. She then attended Bethesda Nursing School from 1932 until 1935. Olive worked as a registered nurse for 30 years at the Rush City Hospital and Cambridge State Hospital.
On June 22, 1940 she married Elof R. Lofboom in Stacy.
Olive loved family activities and she lived for her kids. In her younger years she loved to dance the mazurka, polkas and waltzes. In her later years she loved her crossword puzzles and crocheting her beautiful afgans.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elof and sister Dorothy Stephens.
She is survived by three sons: Dennis (Nola), Tom (anne) and Rick (Deb); daughter Janice Lofboom (Jim Saari), 12 grandchildren: Terry, Debbie, Danny, Eric, Jason, Andrew, Christine, Patrick, Michael, Jenny, Maggie and Joe; five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Ellen Irish, many other relatives and friends.
