Fairview Lakes Rush City Area Clinic announced that obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Matthew Anderson is now seeing patients at the clinic on the second Friday of every month.
He also will consult with women on gynecologic issues and gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine at Vermillion and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1982. He became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1984.
Dr. Anderson said he puts a premium on communication, and believes in communicating with patients in a ìcompassionate, modest, unobtrusive and dignified way.
ìWhen patients come to me with a problem or health need, first, we talk. I perform an exam, and then we talk again. The problem is identified and a plan determined,î he said.
By the end of the visit, Dr. Anderson said he wants the patient to know he will do all he can to give the best care possible with the best possible outcome.
