Lauren Hindi, by her own admission, canít cook. And her biggest fear is speaking in front of people. But her sparkling smile and delightful personality worked for her advantage recently when she was chosen Miss Minnesota Teen in St. Paul. Hindi is a sophomore at Forest Lake High School and life-long resident of the Stacy area. She spoke to the Stacy Lions and Lioness Monday night, relaying some of the experiences at the two-day pageant at the end of November. It was her first pageant ever, but she got help from sister Talia who was first runner-up in last yearís pageant. She won over 76 other contestants. Hindi now goes to the national competition in August. She will be training for the event under Faith Schway in diet, walking, interviewing, and other aspects of pageantry. Hindi is the daughter of Sheryl and Bruce Hindi.
