Ryan Carter Dary

Ryan Carter Dary was born Sept. 2, 1974 in Amery Wisc. He lived there until 1979 when he moved to Knoxville, Tenn. He returned to St. Paul, Minn. in 1983. He attended elementary school there until he moved to Mora, Minn. in 1988 where he attended school until 1990. He moved with his family to Forest Lake, Minn. to finish his high school career.

In 1994 he met his future wife Jessica at the Mora fair. They were married July 27, 1996. They made their home in Rush City and on Dec. 22, 1996 they had a daughter, Jamie Rose. You donít realize how becoming a daddy can change everything. She became one of his favorite fishing buddies and he took her when ever he could.
Ryan was a hard worker and had worked for several different construction companies starting with underground cable and working his way to be a journeyman cement finisher. He had many friends from work, high school and easily met new friends where ever he went.

In 2000 he and his wife, along with the help of his father-in-law Dennis and many friends and family members, started building a house on Government Road. It was a lot of work, but by spring of 2001 they were able to move in.

On March 25, 2002 his son, Nathan Carter was born. He was so excited to have a son to share his love of the outdoors. Ryan loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved his Golden Retriever, Megan. They went to the river often and also hunted for pheasants. Ryan had many trips he planned every year. These included several fishing trips to Lake of the Woods, opening fishing weekend, musky opener and many others. This year he added a trip to Michigan with his brother Keith. He really enjoyed the time they spent together.

Every August for the last five years Ryan, Jessica and their children would take a weeks vacation at Life of Riley resort on Lake Vermillion. These vacations often included several friends and family. There was lots of fishing, mainly for Musky, campfires and smores, swimming at the beach and long walks with the kids, Jessica and Megan. After every fishing trip Ryan would clean and fry the fish. His fish frys were by far the best around. He had always enjoyed cooking for family and friends. It showed with every dish he made.

Ryanís hunting career started with trips with Keith for pheasants. Later he started deer hunting at Jessicas parents in Ogilvie with Dennis, Jake, Jeremy, Sara and Kai. Last year he got 2 deer within 5 minutes of each other. Deer hunting also included trips up North with Mark and his family. There were many, many fishing and hunting buddies. He always tried to fit everyone in.

Ryan was a huge Packer fan. On weekends, from the beginning of football season until the season ended he was watching every Packer game, no matter where he was. His favorite place to watch the game was at home with Jamie and Nathan on the couch with him. Jes was always ready with snacks.

As a child, Ryan was nicknamed Mouse because he was small and had the biggest brown eyes. He was a memorable Mighty Mouse for Halloween. He was a fearless boy who could always do it mine ownself. He grew up to be a man that never failed to meet a challenge.

Ryan was a loving father and devoted husband. His family meant the world to him. He was often on the lake for hours with his daughter fishing and was looking forward to doing the same with his son. Bedtime was a memorable event at the Dary house. Ryan, Jessica, Jamie and Nathan would all crawl into Nathanís bed and read stories together. Words can not describe the love that Ryan had for his wife Jessica. It could be seen in his eyes as she entered the room, in the goodbye kiss as he left for a fishing trip or the big hug when he returned. They shared many memorable times together, including trips to Cancun and their honeymoon in Michigan, anniversary trips to Duluth. He was always there for her no matter how small the reason may be. The love these two shared can not be explained, but only felt by the heart. His beautiful smile will be remembered forever by all that knew him.

Ryan is survived by his wife: Jessica; daughter: Jamie; son: Nathan; parents: Carter and Anna Dary, Janesville, Wisc., sisters: Tara (Jose) Perez of Janesville, Lisa (Jim) Drewing of Mich.; brother: Keith (Laura) Dary of Mich.; grandparents: Verlyn and Alice Dary and Ruth Richard, all of Madison, Wisc.; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dennis and Rose Voss, Ogilvie, Minn.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jeremy (Monica) Voss, Taylors Falls, Wisc., Jacob Voss and Tamara Voss, both of Ogilvie, and Sara Voss, St. Cloud, Minn.; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.
