Chamber thanks many for help

To the editor:

The North Branch Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who participated in making Santa Days a huge success. Santa arrived by fire truck courtesy of the North Branch Fire Department. Santaís helpers, the Midsummer Royalty and Boy Scout Troop/Pack 411, helped him greet approximately 300 children and parents at the Chisago County Senior Center on Saturday. Each child who visited with Santa received a ìgoodie bagî to enjoy. Cash sponsorships for the goodie bags were provided by: Lions Club of North Branch, G&K Builders, Minnco Credit Union, Lake State Federal Credit Union and Ramberg Construction. The businesses and organizations that provided treasurers and helped fill the goodie bags are: Koepís Village Bakery, Lions Club of North Branch, North Branch Cinema, North Branch Dairy Queen, North Branch Dental, North Branch Lionesses, North Country Cuts, Sun Dental, Chisago County Dairy Farmers and Xcel Energy. These businesses and organizations were on hand to visit with: Anonymous Santa, Abundant Life Church, Fairview Lakes North Branch Clinic and Kyoshin Ryu Karate Academy, The North Branch Lionesses hosted ìSantaís Workshopî so the children were able to select an affordable gift for Mom and Dad. We collected non-perishable food items for North Branch Food Shelf, unwrapped gifts for Anonymous Santa and old eyeglasses for the Lions Club of North Branch. We would like to express our appreciation to the Chisago County Senior Center for allowing us to make use of their facility for this event and the Boy Scout Troop/Pack 411 for the clean-up help. A special thanks to the families who joined us and to Santa for traveling all the way from the North Pole!
