Cleve John Van DykeCleve John Van Dyke, age 75 of Farmington, formerly of North Branch, died peacefully at his home on Feb. 7, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2 p.m., at the White Funeral Home Chapel, 901 Third St., Farmington.4. Cleve was a member of 4H, FFA, DHIA, Local Farm Organizations and a Farm Advisor for Hubert Humphry. He attended the University of Minnesota Agriculture School. Cleve was the son of Arthur who was a postmaster in St. Paul for 25 years and his mother Flora was a music teach and an accomplished pianist. Cleve was a truck owner-operator for American AGCO for 15 years and a dairy farmer for 25 years. Cleve married Joan (Story) on Dec. 30, 1988 in Farmington. He is survived by his wife Joan, children: Peter, Peggy Headlund, Paul, Cleve (Chet), Janette Trauig, Bonnie Larson, Bruce and Jon Van Dyke, and also by step daughter Kathleen King Barscewski, 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Cleve was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Flora (Peterson) Van Dyke, sisters: Ella Mae Wilkinson and Shirley Broden, and grandson Paul Van Dyke. ©ECM Post Review |
