Jack BlaisdellJack Blaisdell, age 79 of North Branch, passed away of cancer at his home on Feb. 4, 2004. Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 2, at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. A memorial service is planned for a later date. Jack was born on April 21, 1924 in Minneapolis to Elmer and Florence (Collet) Blaisdell. Jack served during WWII in the Merchant Marines, graduating to able-bodied seaman by warís end. He was proud to be a veteran and an American. From modest beginnings he had been retired as a machinist since 1988 and had spent many warm winters in Donna, Texas. He was survived by two sons William Blaisdell, Edward (Bonnie) Blaisdell, two daughters Linda (Dave) Schaubshlager and Cynthia (Greg) Dupre, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by wife Marie and grandson Bart, and three brothers: Elmer Jr., Edwin and Donald. ©ECM Post Review |
