Robert Charles WernerBob Werner, 48, of Rush City, died Feb. 12, 2004 while on a snowmobile trip near Isabella, Minn. Robert Charles Werner was born in Rush City on Dec. 11, 1955 to Wilbur and Rosemary Werner and was raised on the family farm east of Rush City. Bob graduated from Rush City High School in 1975, and went to work doing construction work in the Twin Cities area. In August 1980 he married Lori Winges. They have two children, Shawna, 20, and Rob, 17. He worked for McDonald Distributing in Rush City for 17 years, then purchased a dump truck and worked for Bauerly Brothers, before going into business for himself excavating, digging basements and instal-ling septic systems. Bobís four loves were family, friends, work and fun. There is nothing he would not have done for them, or with them. As a family they spent many hours He is survived by his wife, Lori, son, Rob, daughter, Shawna; mother Rosemary, sisters Sue (Darrell) Johnson all of Rush City, Janine (Kenny) Weber of Blaine; brother Gary (Elena Wiss) of Rush City; brother-in-law Frank Winges and sister-in-law Kathy (Greg) McDonald also of Rush City. Bob is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services for Bob Werner were held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City on Tuesday, Feb. 17, with Rev. Laurie OíShea officiating. The interment took place at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Rush City. Music was provided by Dianne Kirchberg, Randi and Brittany Olson. The casket bearers were Greg Olson, Dale Kirchberg, Rocky Bodell, Bob Hanson, Mark Hanson and Jerry Sybrant with the interment in the First Lutheran Cemetery of Rush City. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City Olson Chapel. ©ECM Post Review |
