Patrick H. Murphy, age 79, of North Branch, Minn. died on Feb. 20, 2004.
Patrick was born on Nov. 14, 1924 in Minneapolis., Minn. to Patrick and Myrtle (Pond) Murphy. Patrick served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946 and in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1950.
On Jan. 19, 1951 he married Mary Peters. Mary became very ill with emphysema, so Pat retired in 1988 to stay home and take care of her. Mary died on Oct. 26, 1994. Pat remarried to Renee Lotz on July 28, 2001. Survived by wife Renee, 2 sons Timothy and Larry and wife Joy; step-son Don Lotz and wife Kathy, step-daughter Cindy Ritchey and husband David; 5 grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; step-niece Francey Tinsley and husband Mike; step-nephew John Landwehr and wife Natalie; 4 step-grandnieces; preceded in death by first wife Mary and infant daughter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Fri., March 5, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the St. Gregoryís Catholic Church in North Branch, Minn. Interment Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud, Minn. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch.
