Benefit set for Feb. 27 in NB

TO THE EDITOR:
I work for a local production company based in St. Paul known as Loonatix Productions.ÝLast month, in January, a young woman by the name of Robin Lorimer was struck and killed by a car on Hwy. 65 in Blaine.ÝRobin was a fan of one of our bands, Lyrical Pedestrianz.
While this may seem irrelevant to you or your paper, we found this as an opportunity to join with her mother and friends to raise money to build a walk bridge over Hwy. 65 in Blaine.Ý As a business, we are putting on a benefit show in her name on Feb. 27 in North Branch at a venue known as the Battleshack.Ý
It is vital for us to have many people come to enjoy the music and donate money to her fund, as it is not an easy task and also, there will be a petition to sign to raise awareness to the city of Blaine of these incidents, which have happened numerous times.
There will be five bands playing, itís $3 and again, for a good cause. In the cities, there rarely is a chance for local artists to come together and do something for a good cause, this is one opportunity.
