Susan L. Hebert

Susan Lucile Hebert, the daughter of Cletus and Gloria (Knutson) Stitch, was born July 20, 1953, in St. Paul.

At the age of seven, she moved with her family to rural Rush City. She enjoyed growing up on their farm and attended Rush City schools. As a high school student, Susieís activities included playing basketball, being part of the high school plays, and a member of the debate team. Having a creative and fertile imagination, life with Susie was always entertaining to say the least.

As a young mother, she loved to spend all the time she possibly could with her son, Joe. He was the light of her life, and together they enjoyed Cub Scouts, great bike rides, and long hikes.

Susie met Charles Hebert and they were married in March of 1991. They made their first home in Pine City. Later they would live at Sleepy Eye and Big Sandy, Mont., prior to returning to Rush City to live with their daughter, Charlene.

For the past five years Susie has been an employee of Sandy Manufacturing at Wyoming. She enjoyed her work and her fellow employees there.

A busy housewife, working mother, and grandmother, she still found time to enjoy Charleneís activities in cross-country, softball, running, and band. She was extremely proud of her granddaughter, Kelsey Lynn Stich, who held a special place in her heart.
Susie was a positive and enthusiastic person who enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting with friends, having cookouts, and attending rodeos. Being a practical jokester, her favorite holiday was Halloween. She left her family and friends with many great memories and stories to tell.

At the age of 50, Susie died as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Harris on January 25, 2004.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie, and her daughter, Charlene, both of Rush City; her son Joe Stich, and granddaughter, Kelsey Stich, both of Great Falls, Mont.; her mother, Gloria Stich, of North Branch; her brothers and sisters: Bill (Linda) Stich of Oregon; Bob Stich of Rush City, Mike (Mary) Stich of Wyoming, Marilyn (Dan) Thielmann of Indiana, Patrick Stich of Lindstrom, Tom Stich of Chaska, Cathy Hall of Oklahoma, John Stich of Grand Portage, Ill., Mary Lange of Mora, and Jim Tiseth of St. Paul; her sister-in-law: Linda Hebert of Wisconsin; many, many, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
