Sarah A. Moore

Sarah A. Moore (Parker, Parrish), age 93, of North Branch, died on Jan. 24, 200,4 at the Green Acres Country Care Center in North Branch, where she lived since 1998.

Sarah was born on Oct. 12, 1910 in Dunn County, Wisc., to Charles and Wealthy (Payne) King. She was the oldest of seven children. Her family farmed near Menomanie, Wisc. When her mother had to work outside the home she had to stay home from school and take care of her six brothers and sisters. She had hopes of becoming a nurse. She lived most of her life in Wisconsin and Minnesota. She mad her last home in Hinckley before going into Green Acres.'

Sarahís true love was nature and being outdoors, working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also loved going on her adventuress trips to Washington, Oregon and Idaho camping and fishing.

Sarah was preceded in death by her three husbands Orramel P. Moore, Charles Parker II and Thomas Parrish; three brothers Arthur. William, and Laverne Gerald King; three sisters Gladys King, Ruby Ducharme, Wanetta Speilman; daughter Romona Parrish; two granddaughters Romona Parrish and Patricia Thoreen Assen.

Survived by four sons; Charles (Beverly) Parker III, Martin (Ginger) Parrish, Robert Moore; and Kenneth (Peggy) Moore; three daughters Sandra Parrish Hawkins, Phyllis (Harvey) Thoreen, Joyce (James) Kranz; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday, Jan. 29, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour before services at Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home.

Everyone who knew Sarah grew to love her and she loved them. We will miss her dearly.
