Snow causes multiple wrecks in countyBy Barbara Brown One North Branch man was seriously injured Monday after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a sport utility vehicle in North Branch. The man, identified as 33-year-old Dean Erbe, was driving a snowmobile on Harvester Ave. According to North Branch police, Erbe was crossing 400th Street in the northern part of the city on a Polaris snowmobile when the wreck occurred. Police said a sport utility vehicle was driving east on 400th at about 2:41 p.m. Monday when the crash occurred. Erbe was driving his snowmobile northbound on Harvester Ave. Erbe was taken by ambulance to a medical center and was listed in serious condition as of Monday night, police said. No charges had been filed in the wreck. Other wrecks occurring on Monday and Tuesday: I-35 north at North Branch, single-vehicle rollover crash. Minor injury to driver. No further information. Hwy. 8 at Hamlet Ave., Wyoming Twp., three car crash with unknown injuries. Caused brief closure of Hwy. 8. Pioneer Road at James Ave., Wyoming Twp., car and snowmobile collided. I-35 south of Rush City, rollover accident reported by Minnesota State Patrol, no information. I-35 at mile marker 153, Harris, one vehicle rollover, no injuries.
