Harold W. PlesselHarold W. Plessel, 66, of North Branch, died Jan. 6, 2004, at the VA Hospital in Madison, Wisc. He had been there since Feb. 10, 2003, waiting for a heart transplant. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 12, at Spring Lake Lutheran Church. Visitation was the evening before at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. Interment will be in the Spring Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. Harold was born Dec. 13, 1937, at the Family home just outside of Pine City. He graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul in 1956 and then served in the U.S. Army. In 1964 he married June Marie Dornquast and moved to North Branch in 1971. Harold worked 43 years for McMillian Electric Company in Woodville, Wisc. He enjoyed life and doing anything he could to help others. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, going to auctions, old time music, dancing, his gardens, playing cards and his family. Harold was a member of Spring Lake Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife June of 39 years, three children Harold J. (Sheila) of Mora, James A. (Jeannine) of Shafer and Debbie Hipskind (Chris) of Bingen, Wash.; eight grandchildren: Mike, Laurie, Kim of Mora, Ricky, Andy and Jacob of Shafer and Cody and Sadie of Bingen, Wash.; one brother Bill Plessel (Janet) of Cambridge.
