Ellen B. Jepson

Ellen B. Jepson (Vik), 90, of Minneapolis, formerly of Almelund, died on Jan. 11, 2004, at the Ebenezer Luther Hall in Minneapolis.
Ellen was born newer Liderwood, ND, on July 16, 1913, to Ole and Bertina Vik. She attended country school in Marboe Township. In 1932 she moved to Minneapolis and worked in a home, at 3M and B and R Sewing. On Sept. 22, 1945, she married Oscar Hilding Jepson. They lived in Minneapolis until 1951 when they bought a dairy farm near Almelund. After the farm was sold they moved to an apartment in North Branch and in April 2003 she moved back to Minneapolis.

Ellen was very active in her church (Immanuel Lutheran) with circle, Bible study, quilting and prayer chain. She loved flowers.

Survived by brother Alfred Vik and wife Elsie of Robbinsdale, Minn., and 1 sister Bernice Vik of Minneapolis, Minn.; Ellen was Godmother to 4, Phyllis Swanson of Northfield, Minn., Pearl Ulland of Lidgerwood, ND., Lisa Vik of Vermillion, SD., and Matthew Clementson of Minneapolis, Minn.; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends both in the USA and in Norway.

Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund. Visitation one hour before services at the church. Interment at Almelund Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. Memorial preferred to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund. She will be deeply missed.
