Sally B. Carlson

Sally B. Carlson of Harris died Sunday, Jan. 11 at Fairview Lakes Hospital at the age of 78.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the First Lutheran Church in Harris. Private interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

Sally was born in Sunrise Township on April, 19, 1925 to Corwin and Helen Sayer. She attended grade school at Peaceful Valley School, Harris and graduated from North Branch High School in 1943. In 1951 she married Wilbur A. Carlson at First Lutheran Church in Harris. Sally worked as a legal secretary for many years for Howard F. Johnson in Center City.

Sally served as church secretary at First Lutheran Church for many years. She was active in the Harris American Legion Auxiliary, First Lutheran WELCA, Grace Hope Circle, a Sunday school teacher, and she served as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and house plants.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents Corwin and Helen, and husband Wilbur in 1968. She is survived by her son Steven and his wife Debora, granddaughters Rebecca (Brian) Dachel, Stephanie
Carlson, great-grandchildren Jonathan Dachel, Jordon Dachel, Jacob Dachel, Julianne Dachel, special niece and nephew Anita and Verlyn Mohr, special grand-nieces and nephew Carmen Anderson, Brian Mohr, Rene Nowicki, special friends Jean Wicklund and Pearl Wilcox, numerous other niece, nephews and friends.
