NB Lions appreciate project support
TO THE EDITOR: As we start our 32nd year of service to the community, the state, the nation and others worldwide, I thought it was an opportune time to thank those who have supported our efforts and let them know where their funds have gone. We have donated cash to Camp Needlepoint for diabetic children, Camp Courage for handicapped children, Childrenís Eye Bank, Youth Outreach program, Hearing & Service Dog of Minnesota, Leader Dog for the Blind, The Wellness van, Minnesota Eye Bank, Macular Degeneration Clinic, Hearing Foundation, Crisis Pregnancy Program, a blind resident of North Branch, a deaf woman whose mom lives in North Branch, a service dog for a North Branch resident, a yearís supply of medicine for a boy in the Ukraine, the Roger Remers benefit and the Jimmy Gordy benefit. The Lions bought and delivered a gift at Christmas to every resident of Green Acres, and a complete turkey dinner was delivered hot on Thanksgiving day to 57 folks in our community. When you buy a calendar, a prime rib dinner, an ear of corn or a bowl of chili from the Lions, think of all the wonderful things you made possible. Bob Denham, president North Branch Lions
