Lady Tigers go 2 for 3 on week

The girls Tiger basketball team has much to celebrate this week after finishing their last series with a winning record.

In the Jan. 19 game at Mora, Rush City pulled out a win in the last few minutes of the game.

With only 3 minutes left to play, the girls team rallied and out-scored mora 15-2 to come from behind and take the win.

Christine Frandsen was credited with charging up the team as she came off the bench and and hit two 3-pointers late in the game to bring the Tigers back.

ìIt wasnít pretty,î said head coach Stuart Lang, ìbut we battled for a much-needed victory over a scrappy Mora team.î

Isle handed the Tigers their only loss last week in the Jan. 22 match-up at Isle.

The exciting game led to high scoring runs, but the Tigers couldnít hold on and ultimately lost 71-60 after Isle went 14-18 free throws in the 4th quarter. Holly Grimes scored 16 points and Christine Moore scored 12 points in the game.

The team rounded out a tough week of games with a win over Maranatha 69-42 Monday night. Thirteen Tigers players scored and the team racked up 31 points in the first quarter alone.
