To the editor:
Thank you to everyone who attended the Block Party to kick-off our Midsummer Days activities.Ý On Wednesday, June 16 the businesses on the north side of Main Street from 8th Ave. through 12th Ave. of North Branch hosted the festivities.Ý There were hors díoeuvres and other treats, as well as drawings for door prizes.ÝStephanie Fritz was the grand prize winner of the $200 savings bond from First National Bank.ÝThe Block Party was planned so that area residents could get better acquainted with local businesses.ÝThe businesses participating where: Carquest Auto Parts, Steveís Radiator Shop, Caseyís General Store, North Branch Floral, North Branch Pet & Supply, Plus, Video Vault, First National Bank, Investment Centers of America, North Branch Veterinary Hospital, Creative Memories - Barbara Jensen, Independent Security Solutions and Longaberger - Amy Reider.Ý
