To the editor:
Iíd like to give a very special thanks to all those who work at the Hazelden Foundation, especially Loretta Anderson for coordinating the event and to John Mac Dougall for giving an outstanding presentation. On Monday, May 24, Community Partnership with Youth and Families co-sponsored an event with Hazelden called Faith Community Forum. This was attended by over 40 people from churches in the area.İAll churches and faith organizations from in and around Chisago County were invited.İLoretta arranged for well-known speaker, John Mac Dougall to present to the group.İThe goal of this workshop was for members of the clergy, youth directors and church secretaries to learn the role the faith communities can take in responding to substance use and abuse.İMac Dougall is supervisor of spiritual care at Hazelden Foundation and for the past 14 years, he has given lectures at workshops on Twelve Step Based Pastoral Ministry and a variety of similar topics.İAgain, thank you to those who work at the Hazelden Foundation.
