The Rush City track teams turned in solid performances as the squads hosted the 4A subsection meet May 26.
The girls finished with 89 points for third place while the boys had 68 points for seventh place.
For the girls, Christine Frandsen was first in the 1600m run with a time of 5:43.56 and first in the 3200m run with a time of 12:46.87.
Alex Saxton was second in the 100m dash with a time of 13.14 and Liz Melin was second in the triple jump with a jump of 30í4î. Amber Hoffman was second in the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.07.
Melin was also third in the 300m hurdles with a time of 53.98 and Saxton was third in the 200m dash with a time of 28.38.
Kacie Vold was third in discus with a throw of 92í3î. The 1600m relay team of Katie Turner, Chelsea Peterson, Melin and Hoffman was third with a time of 4:32.65 and the 3200m relay team of Hoffman, Michelle Stenger, Becca Rogers and Tiffani Hoffman took third with a time of 10:58.83.
The boys faced tough competition and were unable to come away with any finishes higher than second.
Tim Karnick was second in shot put with a throw of 39í11.5î and second in the pole vault, clearing 10í6î. The 400m relay team of Blake Rustad, Tim Karnick, Jeff Jennings and Kevin Bengtson also took second with a time of 47.94.
Jennings was third in the 100m dash with a time of 11.92 and third in the high jump, clearing 5í6î.
Jared Dahlberg was third in the 3200m run with a time of 11:13.56 and Jarred Nelson was third in discus with a throw of 100í2î.
The squads now advance to the section tournament Saturday, June 5 at Macalester College where the top finishers advance to the state tournament.
