The Youth Service Bureau, North Country Coffee and North Branch Community
Education are pleased to announce that Youth Nights at North Country Coffee were a complete success.
Each week the North Country Coffee filled up with an average of 16 youth ready to sing, dance, talk, play and drink coffee! Youth Nights were held for youth in 7th through 11th grade and took place at the North Country Coffee in North Branch the third Friday of each month between November 2003 and May 2004.
The youth who attended enjoyed a variety of activities such as; karaoke, hanging out with friends and playing various board games including Catch Phrase, Taboo and more. All of the activities were free to the youth. North Country Coffee opened especially for the youth each month to allow them this opportunity to be together as
teens. From the youth who attended the Youth Nights the Youth Service Bureau received wonderful feedback from them on how nice it was for the North
Country Coffee to close down just for them on those nights. A few of the youth commented on how nice it was to get away with your friends and have a
fun night for free and that if they were not doing this they were not sure what they would be doing. All who attended spoke of what a great time they had and that they would tell more friends about it next time.
This special night would not have been possible without community support from the businesses and organizations that donated their time and money to support our efforts. The Youth Service Bureau would especially like to thank North Country Coffee and staff, and North Branch Community Education for making the Youth Nights a successful and memorable program for those who attended. Thank you again!
