An electrical fire in the Chisago County Government Center caused power loss and smoke damage in much of the building.
The building, at 313 North Main Street in Center City, has been under an extensive renovation in the lower level for the past several months, although no information was available to indicate whether the fire started in the area where construction was happening.
Government Center employees were asked to work from home on March 11. All other county offices outside the Government Center were open as usual.
