To the editor:
Our Chisago Lakes communities are the best. The Friends of Parmly would like to thank all for the wonderful support for the annual ham dinner held April 29. Over 350 people were there to enjoy the event. The Chisago County Chapter of Thriven Financial for Lutherans provided matching funds. Your support raised funds for landscaping at Point Pleasant Heights.
Special thanks to Pete Nelson at Community Market for the hams, Mike Parker at Lindstrom Foods for dinner rolls, Kevin Brink at Brinkís Market for dinner rolls and signage, Curt Peterson from Peterson Produce for cole slaw, Don and Carrie Vaia for take-out containers, Dave Johnson and Company for musical entertainment, bakers from Trinity (Lindstrom), Zion and Chisago Lake Lutheran churches for all the delicious bars and to LeRoy Mitchell for all his efforts in the kitchen to make the ham taste so delicious.
Youths from the National Honor Society were among the 75 volunteers. Our thanks also to the ECM Post Review for helping us advertise the ham dinner. We appreciate the efforts of all to make this event such a success.
Thanks also to those individuals and places of business selling tickets for the dinner including Mainstreet Bank, Center City; Community Market, Lindstrom; Wally Carlson and Sons, Lindstrom (thanks also for the signage); RiverBank-MN,Chisago City; Security State Bank of Marine, Lindstrom; and area churches.
A special thank you goes to Chisago Lake Lutheran Church for again hosting ìHamminí It Up for Parmly.î We look forward to doing this again next year.
