Kelly passed away at his home on Thursday, May 13 at the age of 86.
Kelly was born in Almelund on Feb. 25, 1918 to Alex and Esther Carlson. He served in five campaigns in World War II.
On July 6, 1946 he married Ella Dahlquist. He has lived in Almelund/Kost area all his life. Kelly worked many years in the Twin Cities as a union carpenter and has farmed his whole life.
Kelly was preceded in death by parents Alex and Esther, sister Mary Sorensen and brother Allen.
He is survived by loving wife of 57 years, Ella, son Wayne and wife Tora, grandsons Kelly and Matthew, brother Burton and wife Rose of Center City, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were held at Immanuel Lutheran in Almelund on Tuesday, May 18. Interment was at Almelund Cemetery. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom.
