Royce Miller, 89, went to be with his savior on Wednsesday, April 28, 2004.
Royce was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. Following the death of his beloved wife Lorraine last July, he had been living with his son and daught-in-law in Signal Mtn., Tenn., and he had moved back to Longview in March of 2004.
He made himself known to family and friends as a man of good humor and extravagant generosity. Dearly loved and admired by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he strengthened and encouraged them by his unswerving faith in Godís word. A man ready to help anyone anytime, he proved himself inventive, self-reliant, and resourceful ñ a true entrepreneurial spirit. If there were a better way to do something, heíd find it and build it.
He will be deeply missed by surviving family members, who include Bonnie Lilley and Brenda Plyler (daughters) and Bill, Bob, and Barry (sons). Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive him.

Funeral service was held at Longview Oakland Heights Baptist Church on Saturday, May 1, with Reverend Tom Roberson officiating. Entombment followed at Rosewood Park Mausoleum.
