The North Branch golf squad defeated Foley in a dual meet April 29 in the middle of wintery conditions that included bouts of sleet.
The Vikings finished with a 157 to down the Falcons, who finished with a 188.
Junior Bryan Peters led the field with a 37 for North Branch. Seniors Tyler Leland and Tom Koep and junior Greg Moriarty turned in identical scores of 40. Junior Jake Lane ended with a 45 and Brad Peters turned in a 46 to round out the scoring for the Vikes.
The next day, the Vikings split into two teams for the Mora Scramble. The trios of Leland, Peters and Peters and Koep, Moriarty and Lane earned sixth place out of 24 teams with a cumulative score of 139.
The teams from Chisago Lakes finished with a 122 for first place, followed by the teams from Mora with a 127.
On Monday, Bryan Peters again led the team, this time with an 80 at the Purple Hawk Invitational. The teamís combined score of 339 placed them in 11th place out of 21 teams. Koep was second for North Branch with an 81.
This week, the team hosts Princeton Friday, May 7 in a dual meet before traveling to Chisago Lakes Tuesday, May 11.
