The Big Buck contest at Fish Lake Bait and Tackle in Harris is in full swing and the store has seen quite a few entries already.
The biggest deer in the contest, thus far, is a 207-pound, eight-point buck taken by Mark Carlson of Lindstrom, said Les Cleveland of Fish Lake Bait and Tackle.
Another large entry is a 202-pound, 11-point buck taken by Darrin Stream of Harris.
Cleveland said some children have done pretty well.
Cory Husnik of North Branch managed to get a 184-pound, seven-point buck near Floodwood.
In the ladies competition, Cleveland said that he has seen a 167.5 -pound, eight-point deer taken from the Harris area by Tammy Rogers.
Cleveland said he expects to see a lot larger deer coming in over the next few weeks. The contest concludes Nov. 22.
