TO THE EDITOR:
Mary Beth Carlson will perform a special holiday concert at Trinity Lutheran church in North Branch on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public.
There is no admission charge, a free will offering will be taken to benefit the Chisago County Anonymous Santa Project.
Mary Beth Carlson, a concert pianist and recording artist is also the lead pianist and piano manager at Nordstrom Mall of America. Much of her original music has been composed in honor of her daughter, Jody, who was born with cerebral palsy and autism. She performs for a wide variety of special events, benefits and speaks nationally on the topic, ěThe Healing Gift of Music.î She has also performed with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Carlson has recorded numerous piano orchestral albums on her label, MBC Productions from Eden Prairie. These albums will be available at the concert. She has appeared on radio and television and has been featured in both the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Minneapolis Star Tribune. Her message is inspirational and audiences all over the United States love her music.
Joining Mary Beth Carlson will be vocalist Nikki Allen. Nikki was one of the top three winners in Kare 11ís 2004 Minnesota Idol Contest and Minnesota State Fair Talent Contest 2nd place. Nikki has performed the National Anthem at a Minnesota Gopher basketball game and event featuring guest speaker Sen. Norm Coleman.
