MinnCO Credit Union will begin construction Spring 2005 on a new building on Main Street and Ninth Avenue, next to Hermann Insurance.

North Branch manager Cindy Nutter said that the new location will have a drive-up and its own ATM machine, making things much more convenient for area customers.

ìIt will be a full-service institution,î she said.

MinnCO has been in North Branch for five years.

They moved into their current location on the corner of Forest Boulevard and Main Street with full knowledge that they most likely would have to move to a new location.

ìWe came over here and took the small office to establish ourselves in North Branch,î Nutter said.

At the time the amount of customers from the North Branch area was well-suited for the small office, she added.

ìWe knew that this was going to be a stepping stone for us to build a bigger office and do more services,î she said.

The location selection fulfilled one of MinnCOís main concerns.

ìOne goal was staying on the East Side of the freeway,î she said.

Construction will begin in the spring of 2005 and will be completed in late fall 2005.
