The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) satellite office in Cambridge will be offering a ìGoing into Business for Yourselfî class from 6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 30 at the National Guard Recruiting Office in the city hall mall complex.
The cost is $30 per person, or $50 for two business partners. The course will cover evaluating your business idea, starting your business, assessing market potential, determining financial needs, business filings, business planning and the basics of financing your business. Free followup consultations are available.
The Cambridge satellite office of the SBDC was recently established through a partnership between Central Lakes College Small Business Development Center and the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce. Increased economic development support in the area is a joint effort by key businesses, the City of Isanti, the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Development Alliance, Anoka Ramsey Community College and various lending institutions.
The SBDC satellite office is located within the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce office, Cambridge City Center. Office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment.
