To the editor:

We would like to thank the many adult and student volunteers who worked with us to implement the MN Kids Voting project for our North Branch Area Schoolsís students in grades three through eight.

Many adult volunteers set up and worked at the various precincts to help students participate in this project. The North Branch High School Honor Society students not only worked at various precincts, but also came to our Kids Voting headquarters at the American Legion when the polls closed to tally the votes.

We know it was a valuable education for all of our youth.

Many parents and adults expresses appreciation for having the Kids Vote booth at the precincts. We believe this experience can shape these young citizens to be active voters when they turn 18 years old.

We would also like to thank all of the township clerks and election judges for helping to facilitate this project.

It was an incredibly busy day for everyone and could not have been so successful without the help and cooperation of all of those involved.
