Tim Allerton scored a 2 yard touchdown run in overtime and made a 2 point conversion to lift the Rush City Tigers 21-20 over Lutheran of Bloomington on Oct. 8.
The game was tied at 13-13 at the end of regulation. The Tigers led 13-0 at the half, but Bloomington tied it in the 4th quarter. Ray Grabau blocked an extra point attempt to keep the score tied.
Outstanding offensive performances were turned in by Adam Best, who had an 80 yard TD run and John Bosman, who snagged a 70 yard catch and run.
Defensive standouts were Grabau, Dan Gamache, Jared Nelson and Mackenzie Johnston. Johnston came on strong after sustaining an injury in last weekís game.
The win gives Rush City a conference record of 2-2, with an overall record of 3-3.
Up next: Oct. 15 at Ogilvie and Oct. 20 v. Onamia.
The Ogilvie Dollars for Scholars program is hosting its 13th annual pork chop dinner prior to the Oct. 15 game. It will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Ogilvie School Commons.
